Mosites #14127 is a 70 durometer, commercial grade silicone rubber sheet with light fabric impression finish. The formulations meet the requirements of Mil-R-5847D and A-A-59588, Class IIA and IIB; AMS 3304. The compound has excellent resistance to weathering and ozone, good resistance to hot water and low pressure steam, alcohols, diethylene glycols and fair resistance to petroleum base oils. The service temperature range is from -80°F to 450°F.
Silicone polymer is not recommended for service in aromatic solvents, fuels, chlorinated solvents and acids.
The physical properties shown below were obtained on molded 0.080 inch think ASTM samples. They are typical of Mosites #14127 Gray but they should not be used to set Quality Control Specification minimum requirements.
